Too many people take their families for granted... i only wish i could be back home. I have lived away from my family and friends for 3 years now. it's so hard. Right now i'm working through trying to remember that i may never ever live at home again and also working on finding friends of my own. friends that have fun with me. I hate being in a city of so many people and feeling so alone besides my wonderful boyfriend... I miss all of my friends back home, and my brothers, and the fun things we used to do, and the farm, and my puppies, the way i used to be fun and crazy, and had fun all of the time. I feel like the life is being sucked out of me. Lethbridge is a town full of cold people and has a huge church that is hard to get into, it's opressing. It's also true that lately i am not the most social person. i hate trying to get to know someone, all of the ackward moments... I just don't like small talk. So partly it's my fault, but it is also in part that this whole town is a great big bunch of cliques... someday i will find my way in, i just wish that day would hurry up. All I need to do is find that one really good friend that I can be myself around, not someone i have to walk on eggshells around, or someone who I have to be overly serious around. I like making jokes, and i need to find someone who can give it AND take it...
I miss home. I miss my friends. I miss my freedom on the farm. I miss my puppies. I miss my mom. I miss my dad. I miss DJ. I miss Josh. I miss being the CO-OP cashier whom everyone loved and came to visit and went out of their way to say hi. I hate when no one smiles back. I hate when people look at me like a raging idiot when I say hi to them. I hate when people criticize my hometown. I hate when people criticize Saskatchewan. I hate when people put down my family. And I hate people who think they know everything about everything. (I'm not putting lethbridge, or alberta down. I'm just homesick and frustrated.) and when i say hate, i don't mean hate, i mean strongly dislike...
So... this is the end of my blog, but I encourage you to enjoy your family, life ends too quick. I encourage you, especially if you live at home, to make sure you cherish every moment you have there, because things change, and a lot of the time they will never go back.
And... another thing to think about, is that when you are pessemistic, it make's other peoples lives greyer. While I don't think you should pretend your life is all sun, puppies, and daisies... sometimes you should just try to be positive... put a smile on...

jason always sings the song to me about how a smile goes a long long ways, and it's true. Through my tough times in this town, that has taken me a long long way. So SMILE! and make someones day by smiling at them, or smiling back at them, or saying HI
